January Therapy Shining Star

When it comes to our rehabilitation residents, our goal is to give them the tools necessary to not only leave Emerald Pointe with a higher quality of life, but to set them up for continued success once they are out of our care. We love celebrating these victories and recognizing the hard work our residents put in to get back their independence.

Emerald Pointe would like to showcase a resident who has made significant therapy progress. We'd like to give a big congratulations to Mrs. Anna Rinkes this month! Mrs. Rinkes was awarded our Therapy Shining Star certificate, signed by the Therapy Director, because of the hard work she's shown since she came to us. Our Therapy Team worked with Mrs. Rinkes on developing personalized goals in order for her to regain her strength and get her back to her normal routine.



Mrs. Rinkes was very pleased with her experience working with our Therapy Department and shared, "I am beyond happy with the therapy I’ve received here at Emerald Pointe. I have even gained some friends who have helped me along the way. My favorite part overall is finally being able to walk on my own again. When I was first admitted I needed a lot of help, but now I can stand without a walker and walk on my own. It’s been a blessing! Emerald Pointe has been my home for nearly four years. The help has been very dependable whenever I need it. I really enjoy the activities they have here and join in every time. The nurses are very good when it comes to my medicine and I really have no complaints. I feel safe and really have no complaints. I love my room and the people at Emerald Pointe."  Thanks to Mrs. Rinkes' hard work and determination, alongside our attentive Therapy Team, she'll happily be returning home very soon. We'll miss her here at Emerald Pointe, but we are thrilled she met her goals and is happier than ever. Great job, Mrs. Rinkes!
